Information about Our Personnel
We are a team of top professionals with a large portfolio of assets to manage. We employ around 40 experts. Our energetic and well-being staff brings vitality to our work.
The Pohjolan Voima Group has its own personnel in the parent company Pohjolan Voima Oyj, as well as in subsidiaries PVO-Vesivoima Oy, Kymin Voima Oy, and Kaukaan Voima Oy.
Personnel Statistics 2024
At the end of 2024, the number of personnel was 43 (40 at the end of 2023), of which 93%, or 40 people, were employed on a permanent basis. The average number of employees in the group in 2024 was 40 (40). The number of temporary, part-time, and variable-hour employees was less than 5. The parent company Pohjolan Voima Oyj had an average of 25 employees (26).
The turnover rate for permanent staff was 3.85% (3.90%). The turnover rate includes new permanent employment contracts and all reasons for departure. The average age of permanent employees at the end of 2024 was 47 years (48). The average duration of employment was 11.2 years (11.7). The proportion of women among permanent employees was 42.5% (41.0%). In the Excecutive Team, the proportion of women was 43%.
The health percentage of the staff was 65% (63). The health percentage is the proportion of staff who had no sick leave during the year.
All employees of the Pohjolan Voima Group, 36 people, except for management, were covered by collective agreements. The same conditions apply to employees not covered by the collective agreement as to those who are.
The average number of training hours per employee in 2024 was 15. In 2024, 100% of the personnel who were employed the entire year participated in two performance reviews.
Our Goal is Zero Accidents
In 2024, the accident frequency rate was 5.7 (8 in 2023). Our goal is zero accidents. The accident frequency rate includes accidents involving our own staff as well as the operational and maintenance partners and subcontractors of our subsidiaries. Pohjolan Voima does not have a certified occupational health and safety system, but our work is guided by responsibility principles, and we are committed to improving work safety by responding to observations and increasing staff safety awareness. We also pay special attention to the safety culture of our subcontractors.
