Jani Pulli has been appointed as the Managing Director of PVO-Vesivoima Oy. Mr Pulli will take over this position from Pertti Pietinen, who will retire as planned. Mr Pulli will start in his new position on 1 September 2020. He will also continue in his current position as the Energy Manager of Pohjolan Voima Oyj.
“On my own behalf and on behalf of the Board of Directors of PVO-Vesivoima Oy, I would like to thank Pertti Pietinen for his valuable work as the company’s Managing Director over the past ten years,” says Ilkka Tykkyläinen, the President and CEO of Pohjolan Voima Oyj. “During the decade, both the energy industry in general and PVO-Vesivoima have experienced major changes. Mr Pietinen’s excellent leadership has had a significant role in the development of PVO-Vesivoima.”
“Pohjolan Voima’s strategy is based on three important themes: on market terms towards carbon neutrality, added value through regulation capability and becoming a top expert in production asset management. Hydropower has a key role in Pohjolan Voima’s strategy. Mr Pulli’s background and competencies offer him an excellent starting point for managing and developing PVO-Vesivoima together with the personnel and the resources of Pohjolan Voima so that the company will be able to cater to the shareholders’ needs and meet the expectations of the key stakeholders also in the future,” Mr Tykkyläinen concludes.
