Pohjolan Voima Oyj’s Financial Statements Release 2024
Pohjolan Voima’s electricity supply amounted to 16.4 (17.6) TWh. Electricity supply was affected by the annual outages in Teollisuuden Voima Oyj’s Olkiluoto power plant. Heat supply amounted to 2.5 (2.8) TWh.
99% (99) of the electricity and 89% (90) of the heat produced by Pohjolan Voima was carbon neutral. In Pohjolan Voima’s production, carbon-neutral energy includes hydropower and nuclear power, as well as energy produced from wood-based fuels that meet sustainability criteria, and the bio share of solid recovered fuels.
Investments in Pohjolan Voima amounted to 22 (8) million Euros out of which the largest was in subsidiary Porin Prosessivoima Oy in which flue gas condenser plant was commissioned at the end of the year. Pohjolan Voima announced during the period that it was investigating the possibility of building a pumped-storage plant in the Kemijärvi area (Puhti-project).
